Support the Met Broadcasts Campaign
During the past four years, more than 14,000 opera lovers have enthusiastically responded to the challenge of helping the Metropolitan Opera build a Broadcast Fund to preserve its live radio broadcast program. With donations of all sizes and countless heartfelt letters, friends have demonstrated their love for these stellar performances, live from the stage of the Metropolitan Opera House.
Through early leadership support of our campaign to support the Met Broadcasts, their continuation without interruption was assured. Beginning with the 2005-06 broadcast season, Toll Brothers, America's luxury home builder®, became the corporate sponsor of the broadcasts, now aired over The Toll Brothers-Metropolitan Opera International Radio Network.
The Annenberg Foundation and the Vincent A. Stabile Endowment for Broadcast Media made it possible to keep the broadcasts on the air during the 2004-05 season and have continued their long-term support of the broadcasts.
The short-term aim of the Support the Met Broadcasts Campaign—to guarantee these performances without interruption for 11 million listeners worldwide—has been met. However, we still need your help to sustain the long-term future of these beloved programs. Our goal will be achieved through our campaign to Support the Met Broadcasts and the creation of the Broadcast Fund.
We can't do it without you. Together, we can assure that the broadcasts continue for ourselves, our children and our grandchildren. Gifts of all amounts are appreciated.
Please contact 1-800-MET-OPERA or make a gift online now. Please be as generous as you can.
The Metropolitan Opera publicly recognizes all Broadcast Campaign gifts of $150 or more. Leadership gifts of $50,000 to $1 million or more receive significant public acknowledgement in the Metropolitan Opera House. Leadership donors of $250,000 or more may also have a Met broadcast dedicated in their honor.
Questions regarding corporate sponsorship opportunities or leadership gifts may be directed to the Campaign Office at 212-870-4505 or by email at campaign@metopera.org.
